Well made, living world.
My EcoSphere arrived the other day! It was very well packaged and delivered really quickly. The shrimp are energetic and I have already named them: Curly, Moe and Larry. The handbook that came with the EcoSphere is informative and explains how to take care it. Not too much to do other than keep it out of direct sunlight and in a comfortable location. I'll definitely be using these for Christmas gifts.

Amazing!!!
We have had our EcoSphere for over a year, and it may be one of the best gifts I've ever purchased. I gave the EcoSphere to my husband because he can be so hard to shop for. I was ecstatic when it came and he absolutely loved it. The sphere itself is minimalist and beautiful. It looks exactly like the photo pictured. The shrimp are active and lively, and still alive and kicking after more than a year. With the right amount of sunlight and at the right temperature, the EcoSphere stays perfectly balanced. I have never had to maintain it at all. The instructions do say that sometimes the sphere will get dirty or be overgrown with algae if it's in too much sunlight, however, it comes with a magnet on the outside, and one on the inside of the sphere to clean the interior of the glass. After all this time, we will still pull it out to impress guests. It's definitely a conversation piece. The instructions also had a warranty for the sphere if the shrimp died, where you could send...

That's pretty cool!
The EcoSphere got here today. It was very well packed, little chance of it breaking in transit. I noticed that the shrimp were not moving when I got it, but after about an hour they were swimming around energetically. I realized the water was just cold from shipping, after warming up they were fine and happy. =) All in all, it's really cool and a good conversation piece. I'm pleased with the purchase.

With the right care, and it can last a looong time!
I bought one of these EcoSpheres back in 1999 for my dad as a Christmas present (yes, 12 years ago!), and it is still going strong in 2011! Algae, shrimp, everything... When I say "with the right care" in the review title, don't mistake that to mean it really requires much of any -- but it surely helps that it is kept in the right light (the algae grows with more light & shrinks with less) and the right temperature.The same results obviously cannot be guaranteed, but the one I bought has been well worth every penny and shows no signs of stopping -- so it is obviously possible. Very cool product...

Super Cool
I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my 8 year old. But I was VERY pleasantly surprised! It's way cool, and exactly as advertised. Our ball has 5 shrimp, probably around 3/8" long. Very visible, the water is clean, and it's just incredibly awesome. I'm tempted to buy another one for myself to take to work with me.

Very cool gift for others or yourself
OK, my "boy" is 24 years old but he loves stuff like this. He asked for it for Christmas and because it's self contained, doesn't smell or require any extra work, I happily gave it to him. It would also make an interesting gift for a grownup coworker to put on the desk. It's small enough not to be a bother but big enough to be interesting. And apparently you can send it in if the shrimp die and "recharge" it. I'm not sure quite what that involves, but for less than the price of a new one, you get an ecosphere that's been revived.

Nice but cover is a bit flimsy
The package is nice and the paper quality is comparable to my moleskine. The turned page has the same issue as most bound in this manner where you can't quite use the full back of the page. The page doesn't bleed through though and the paper is very white. The cover is a bit thin and flimsy for my taste and creases and wrinkles easily though it never transfers through to the thicker paper. The books themselves are a bit thinner paper count wise than the ones I am used to, but this isn't really a downside or upside. You're getting second best with this as there is no elastic to hold the cover or place marker as in my moleskine, but it is very nice overall.

I LOVE THIS!!!
I saw this BlueiQ ecosystem at my colleague's office, and I felt in love with it right away. I was really mesmerized by it and couldn't wait to get one for myself. I went back to my office and ordered one on Amazon immediately. The first package came 2 days later and let me tell you, Quality, Quality. The hand blown vase is just impeccable. The package also comes with a magazine, tweezers, magnifying glass & etc. Everything just looks so beautiful, even the box. I followed the instructions and ordered the Blue2 online. It came very quickly as well. I set it up nicely in our living room 2 weeks ago. It is the 1st place I go to after coming home from a long day of work. It somehow takes away my stress and resets me into a peaceful mode. I am thinking about getting another unit for my husband's office. I think this also can be a perfect house warming gift.

Problem: My friend wanted a puppy but lives in an apartment that didn't allow dogs.Solution: I bought her a BLUEiQ.For sometime, I thought about buying her a small aquarium so she could have a pet of her own until I stumbled upon the BLUEiQ. I know it wasn't a puppy, but she was quickly intrigued. I remember when she first opened the BLUEiQ box and asked, "Why'd you get me a vase." Funny girl. And so I told her, "I know you love puppies and I wish I could get you one, but instead you're going to be a proud owner of shrimps." She was skeptical at first until she went to the website and saw how pretty the examples were. She insisted that we order the second part of the package right away. We made an account together but she didn't let me choose any of the customizations but that was fine (I still want the other snail).She's really happy that I got her a pretty new toy.
